Euchryphia cordifolia (from South America) is a spectacular tree growing up to 40 m high on misty hillsides among Nothofagus spp and looks very similar to our own eucryphia growing among the rainforest trees in south-west Tasmania. The leaves are larger than E. lucida, as are the flowers which bloom in late summer.  Honey produced from E. cordifolia has a unique flavour but is not as strong as that from E. lucida
