A VERY LONG
PHOTO OF THE SUN

months in the making in fact.
In
July last year the sun was farthest away and yesterday it was the closest
to us in our elliptical orbit. The apparent size alters by about 3%.
Both
images taken with exactly the same equipment - 6.1 meg SLR camera connected
to a 100mm refracting telescope taken through a safe solar filter of
course.
An
hour or two in Photoshop and what you see is the picture attached....enjoy.....even
got a large sunspot on Sunday's image.
