Peter Sayers has a life long interest in astronomy and
has been an active amateur astronomer since the late 80's. His activities
include astrophotography, astronomical computing, and observing both
solar system and deep sky objects. He is a member of the Astronomical
Society of Tasmania.
Peter started observing with a 60mm Tasco refractor on a simple
altazimuth mount. He then upgraded to a 114mm Newtonian reflector on
an equatorial mount. He now routinely observes with a 200mm Vixen Cassegrain
telescope, a 250mm Meade Dobsonian and a 150mm achromatic refractor.
Peter is endeavouring to improve his astrophotography, have
more time for telescopic observing, wants to build an observatory and
somehow fit in more astronomical computing.
