BARBER'S GUM
EUCALYPTUS BARBERI                        Myrtaceae
Eucalyptus barberi
Barber's Gum is classified as rare in Tasmania and is restricted to the eastern Tiers on Tasmania's east coast. This species is threatened by land clearing and too frequent fires.

A mallee or small tree, this endemic is confined to dolerite rock outcrops where it is dominant or codominant in scrub and dry sclerophyll forest, from 200-400 metres above sea level. Intermediates can be found between this species and E. ovata and E. brookerana.
